October 1st. 2006: From the 30th September 2006 until the end of March 2007 we will be shooting at a new venue. Every Saturday morning (except bank holidays) between 10 and 12am we will shoot at the Daventry Leisure Centre which is only a 'stone's throw' from Daventry town centre. There is plenty of carparking adjacent to the Centre.  Members will continue to pay £1.50 for each session as we did at Moulton/ Duston. We look forward to seeing you at Daventry.
August 23rd. 2006: There will be no shooting at Duston for 2 weeks (this week and next) due to the fact that the school is having a 2 week summer recess including all the services, which means that we are unable to have access to the kit store room. We are very sorry for this, but these circumstances came as a complete surprise.
April 11th. 2006: Confirmation that the 28th April will be the last shoot this winter, at Moulton.  We will resume shooting outdoors at Duston Upper School from 8th May 2006.  You also need to know that there will be no shooting at Moulton Good Friday 14th April. November 12th. 2005: Indoor shooting at Moulton College
We are now in the indoor season of shooting at Moulton College every Friday evening between 7pm and 10pm.
June 15th.2005: Outdoor shooting at Duston Upper School
Shooting is available at Duston Upper School on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6pm until 9pm
Beginners courses are held on Mondays and club members have an opportunity to access coaching on Monday nights so there should be no difficulty in shooting on Mondays. The only exceptions would be bank holidays when we are not able to shoot, and very inclement weather.
Wednesdays and Fridays are dependant on there being other archers present. Some archers now have a key so if you swap contact details you should be able to cut down on wasted journeys. If you do turn up and there is no one there, then David Clarke, vice chairman phone number 01604 754873 and Kevin Mace, chairman phone number 01604 830885 can be contacted. Both have keys and are not more than 5 or 10 minutes away from Duston Upper School.
Important safety information
To comply with GNAS regulations there needs to be a minimum of 2 adults present. The adults don't need to be archers.
Safety is paramount at all times and sometimes people wander beyond the shooting lines at DUS, and irritating though this can be we must all err on the side of caution and refrain from shooting until they are safely behind the shooting line again.
Our shooting field is a sports field and it is imperative that all arrows are found. Therefore please pay careful attention to the number of arrows shot and report any arrows not found to David or Kevin who will then be able to inform the school. There are some metal detectors in the store cupboard to help with the search for arrows and all archers need to help find any lost arrows.
Good shooting over the summer and don't forget to enter for our competition on Sunday 26th.
October 14th.2004: We are now shooting at Moulton indoors, on Friday evenings 7 - 10pm.  There is no shooting fee this year as club subscriptions are covering  the cost.  Please get there for 7pm if you can as we can then all be available for setting up.  This only takes about 10-15 minutes.

We will be doing a Portsmouth competition round once a month, probably on the last Friday of the month, but this may change, details will be posted on the website if it does change. The first indoor competition will be on Friday 24th.September.  We are hoping to enter a postal league over the winter with at least one senior and one junior team, possibly more depending on attendance.

Parents are reminded that an adult needs to stay with a junior whilst shooting to conform with our child protection policy. One adult may be responsible for more than one junior, just tell Pat or another committee member who you are supervising.
December 9th.2003: Entry forms for the 2004 BTB Indoor Open Triple Competition now online.  Book early to avoid disappointment.
December 5th.2003: The only Friday that the Moulton sports hall is unavailable over the Christmas period is December 26th. 2003.  Shooting can take place as normal on December 19th. 2003 and January 2nd. 2004.
September 18th.2003: We have moved the kit over to Moulton for our indoor shooting.  We start this Friday, September 19th at 7 pm so I hope to see lots of you there for the start of our indoor season.  When we get a bit organised, I think the plan is to have one Friday evening a month which is a designated club competition night and to run a ladder competition based on handicaps.  See you all at Moulton.
September 17th.2003: The Annual General Meeting of British Timken Bowmen, (incorporating Timken Tornadoes) will take place on Thursday 2nd October 2003 at 8:00 pm. in the Sports Centre, Moulton Agricultural College, Pitsford Road, Moulton. If you haven't been there before, follow the signs for the garden centre and it's the building next to it.  Hope as many members as possible can make it.
August 15th.2003: The annual GNAS fees and BTB membership fees are now due.  The total GNAS fee this year is £33.60 which comprises £27 to GNAS, £3.00 to EMAS and £3.60 to NCAS for adult members.  The junior membership this year is set at £10 per junior.  The BTB membership fees for this year are: Adult £55, Junior £27.50, Family membership £82.50.  Please forward your cheques (made payable to 'British Timken Bowmen') to Pat Jones by the end of August 2003.
June 30th.2003: The BTB Outdoor Open took place yesterday and was a great success.  Thank you to all the archers and volunteers who helped to make it a very enjoyable day.  If you missed it or are interested in what is involved in setting up and competing in an outdoor competition please click the following link to see a Pictorial Diary
June 19th. 2003: Please note that there will be no shooting available at Moulton on Saturdays 28th June and 5th July. Normal shooting is available at DUS Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 6-9pm.  Beginners course is under way with several promising juniors. This is held on Wednesday evenings at DUS from 6.30pm to 8pm.  Annual outdoor open competition is being held on Sunday 29th at DUS. Contact secretary if able to help on the day. Raffle prize contributions from members will be appreciated.
May 6th. 2003: Entry form for our own competition on 29th June 2003 now available (see above). Please come if you possibly can, as it's always good to have a lot of entries from the host club. If you haven't shot outdoors much yet, just have a word and we can help you to get some sight marks and then work out what round would be best. County competitions are always very friendly and there are at the moment a lot of new archers in the county so you won't be the only ones who are inexperienced in competitions.
May 1st. 2003: Just a reminder that we can shoot at Duston Upper School, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 - 9pm (except bank holidays which of course includes this coming Monday). There is a shooting fee of £1.50 per person to help towards the cost of hiring the field over the summer. 2 people need to be present for outdoor shooting for safety reasons and we will put out the safety notices and rope along the car park area.

If we can get some bosses moved to Moulton we can shoot outdoors there on Saturday 17th provided people let Pat Jones know if they definitely want to shoot and share the cost of £15 per session. Catherine and Pat are available on the 17th so only another 3 would bring it down to £3 each, and more of course would make it cheaper. Please let Pat know before next weekend if you're interested as we must give a weeks notice.
